Watch Central Valley government meetings

Where to watch county boards, city councils, school boards, and the regional air district across the eight counties of the San Joaquin Valley, live and archived.

We track 23 bodies so far, out of an estimated 300 to 500 or more across the region. Eight counties, 62 incorporated cities, and several hundred school and special districts. This list is a long way from complete. It grows as each body is verified, and nothing is listed until its channel has been checked.

Counties

All eight county boards in the market are tracked.

Kings County is the one to read carefully. Its own agenda states that people watching on YouTube "will not have the ability to provide public comment." Interactive remote participation is on Microsoft Teams instead, and the Teams link is printed on each meeting's agenda rather than living at a fixed address. If you intend to speak rather than watch, YouTube is the wrong door. Source: Kings County agenda.

Stanislaus County publishes rebroadcast times. In Modesto, meetings replay Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 5:00 p.m., and Sunday at 10:00 a.m., on Comcast Ch. 7 in Modesto, Comcast Ch. 96 in Oakdale, and Charter Ch. 19 in Ceres, Turlock, and Riverbank. Source: broadcasting schedule.

Stockton Unified is the only body of the 23 that runs a separate Spanish-language video channel for its board meetings. In a market where Spanish is a first language for a large share of residents, that is one district out of 23 bodies, and it is worth knowing exists.

Two bodies publish a turnaround for posting the recording

Most bodies here say nothing about when a recording appears. Two state it:

Both are school districts. No county board or city council in this market publishes a posting deadline for its video.

The 54 remaining incorporated cities, all remaining school districts, every planning commission, the irrigation and water districts, the groundwater sustainability agencies, the councils of governments, the transit districts, and the seven federally recognized tribal governments. If you want a specific body added, that is the list we work from.
